Thomas McGuire is an accomplished criminal litigator who has tried for hundreds of felony and misdemeanor cases to a jury verdict. Tom received his BA from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and his law degree from Widener School of Law in Wilmington.
Tom’s litigation skills were first developed in the civil arena as co-counsel while tackling week-long product liability and medical malpractice jury trials. Later, in the 1990s, Tom became a prosecutor in Southern New Jersey and prosecuted major cocaine seizures along with a strip of highway which became known as “cocaine alley.”
After 10 years of practice, Tom moved to Pensacola, Florida where he and his wife raised three children. While in the public defender’s office, Tom tried murder, sexual battery, and white-collar crime cases to a jury verdict. Tom likes to say he is “battle-hardened” when it comes to the criminal courtroom. During his 35 years of legal practice, Tom has developed a reputation for fighting for his clients as if they were family.
